Kinesin Systems Inc. ("we," "us," or "EkkoField") is a British Columbia corporation dedicated to providing software solutions for the skilled trades. We are committed to protecting the privacy of our users in compliance with the British Columbia Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

Business Contact Information (BCI): Pursuant to PIPA, information used to contact an individual at a place of business (e.g., business email/phone) is treated as BCI and is subject to different requirements than "Personal Information" when used for professional purposes.3. Purposes for Collection
We collect and use your information for the following "Reasonable Purposes":
To evaluate and process registrations for the EkkoField Beta Program.
To communicate regarding product updates, service availability, and industry-specific news.
To improve our SaaS platform performance and website user experience.

By clicking the "Join Beta" or "Sign Up" button and checking the associated consent box, you provide express consent to the collection and use of your information as described herein. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us, though this may result in the termination of your beta access.5. Data Residency & International Storage
To provide high-performance services, we utilize a multi-jurisdictional infrastructure:
Primary Records (Canada): Internal business records and applicant files are stored within Google Workspace Canada regions.
Infrastructure (EU/International): During our initial scaling phase, we utilize Hetzner servers located in the European Union (Germany/Finland) and DigitalOcean (Canada/USA).Disclosure: When data is stored outside of Canada, it is subject to the laws of that jurisdiction. We use industry-standard encryption (TLS/SSL) to protect data regardless of its location. We intend to migrate all trade-specific SaaS data to Canadian-domiciled servers by Summer 2026.6. Security Arrangements
We protect your information by making "reasonable security arrangements" against risks such as unauthorized access, collection, use, disclosure, or disposal. These include:
Restricted access to databases on a "need-to-know" basis.
Encryption of data in transit.
Regular audits of our third-party service providers (Google, DigitalOcean, Hetzner).7. Retention
Decision-Making Data: If your information is used to make a decision that directly affects you (e.g., selection for our beta program), we will retain it for at least one year as required by PIPA.General Records: We retain lead and contact data for two years from your last interaction with us, after which it is securely destroyed or anonymized.8. Your Rights (Access & Correction)
You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you and to request corrections if you believe the data is inaccurate. To make a request, please email our Privacy Officer. We will respond within 30 business days as per BC law.9. Changes to this Policy
